Solar Energy : We develop and invest in utility-scale and commercial-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects across South Africa, supplying clean electricity to mines, industrial parks, municipalities, and commercial properties through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and the wheeling network.
Wind Energy : South Africa's coastal and escarpment regions offer world-class wind resources. Veridian is actively developing wind energy projects that contribute to South Africa's renewable energy mix and provide customers with long-term, price-stable electricity.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) : Intermittency is a challenge for any renewable-heavy grid. We invest in battery storage solutions that pair with solar and wind generation to deliver more reliable, dispatchable clean energy to our customers.
Green Hydrogen Production : Using renewable electricity to produce green hydrogen via electrolysis, Veridian is building the foundation for South Africa to become a competitive green hydrogen exporter to European and Asian markets — while simultaneously developing domestic hydrogen applications in transport and industry.
Green Ammonia : Green ammonia hydrogen based, zero-carbon is emerging as a critical fuel for shipping decarbonisation and as a fertiliser feedstock. Veridian is developing green ammonia production capabilities that leverage South Africa's renewable energy resources.
Carbon Credits & Offset Solutions : We help industrial customers manage their carbon obligations under South Africa's Carbon Tax Act by facilitating access to high-quality carbon offset credits and developing projects that generate verifiable emissions reductions.
South Africa has the raw ingredients to be a global green hydrogen powerhouse: world-class solar and wind resources, established port infrastructure, and a strategic geographic position between major importing markets.
